The Origin of the Future explores 50 years of artificial intelligence development in Slovenia, placing it within a broader global history that stretches from early theoretical foundations to today’s advanced systems. The exhibition highlights how a small but highly connected research community helped shape key areas such as machine learning, expert systems, and explainable AI.
Through personal stories, archival materials, and landmark projects, it reveals a lesser-known narrative: that artificial intelligence is not only a global phenomenon, but also a field actively co-created in Slovenia.
