Who is the exhibition for?
The exhibition is suitable for visitors aged 6 and up. In addition to learning about the history of hackers, the exhibition will also allow you to test your knowledge of security in the digital world, find your true hat color, and tackle hacker challenges on a digital or physical level.
Who is a hacker?
In a world where cybersecurity is becoming a central societal topic, the exhibition is shedding light on the motives behind some of the most high-profile incidents and challenging the stereotype of the hacker known from popular culture through an exhibition that reveals stories from behind the hacker scenes via an interactive setup. What they all share is the resourceful use of technology, experimentation, and the ability to think outside the box.
What are different colors of hats?
In the fight for digital sovereignty, hackers wear different hats. Black hat hackers look for vulnerabilities in computer systems and exploit them, hacking technology or using trickery to attack individuals. Standing opposite them are white hats, who try to defeat them with dramatic chess-like moves, while blue hats, red, pink, and green hats, and other hackers also appear, operating with different motivations and representing various skills.
The exhibition was created in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Incident Response Centre, SI-CERT, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and prominent cybersecurity experts: Kristina Batistič, Andraž Brodnik, Nastja Cepak, Milan Gabor, Lili Nemec Zlatolas, and Andraž Sraka. International experts—Joe Grand, Fabrice Florin, and Jack Rhysider—also contributed to the exhibition’s content.
